This article provides information on the setup and installation of the Zebra ZD410 label printer.
Install the printer drivers on the computer before connecting the label printer to the USB port. You can download the printer driver at the link HERE and selecting the printer driver shown below.
Run the executable driver installation that downloads onto the computer.
Perform a typical installation until you see the following window.
The featured window instructs you to connect the printer to the computer and Windows OS will find the needed driver for the device. From here click on and connect the label printer to the USB port. Given time for windows to install, you will see the printer driver available in Devices and Printers.
Pull to slid open both of the yellow tabs on either side of the label printer simultaneously to open the lid.
When the lid is open you can separate the yellow plastic holder so the labels can be seated.
Once the labels have been loaded as shown below you can load the lid of the label printer.
When the lid is closed you will see a pause light enabled. You cannot print or feed labels while this light is lit.
Press the button to remove this lock on label printing and feeding. You can then push the button to feed labels if needed.

Go back into Devices and Printers to access the Zebra ZD410 printer driver. Right-click on the printer driver and choose "Printing Preferences". When the Preferences window appears click on the "Tools" sub-tab and send the action to "Load factory defaults".
Some blank labels will come out of the label printer. Do not tear them off or roll them back into the printer yet as there are a couple of calibrations that will also feed out blank labels.
Next navigate to the "Options" sub tab and populate the height and width of the labels being utilized in inches. Click "Apply" to confirm.
Navigate to the Advanced Setup section and select the "Calibrate" button which will forward the paper format to the printer. More blank labels will come out of the printer.
You can then close the Printing Preferences window and right-click on the printer driver and choose "Printer Properties". When the window appears in the "General" tab click on the "Preferences" button.
A similar printer preferences window will appear. Populate the Height and Width of the label in inches and apply the results.
Navigate to the Advanced Setup section and select the "Calibrate" button which will forward the paper format to the printer. More blank labels will come out of the printer.
Now when the blank labels have finished coming out of the printer you can open the lid and feed them back into the printer. Remember to unpause the printer after you close the lid. You can now test printing labels from AmberPOS.
