Linking SKUs may be necessary if you attempt to upload an item to Bigcommerce and there is an interruption in internet connection during the upload process. The result could be an item that is created on Bigcommerce from data in AmberPOS though they aren't linked properly. The SKU linking feature allows you to associate an item on Bigcommerce to an item in AmberPOS based on matching their SKU or name values.
To access the SKU link feature click on and select the tab . Click on the button and the mass export window will open.
More details about this window can be found HERE. Once the window has finished loading you can click on either the tab or . Which tab you select will influence the result of comparison between AmberPOS and Bigcommerce inventory items.
Link By Names
When you select this tab it will list item results where there is an item on Bigcommerce that has the same name as an item in AmberPOS but they are not currently linked.
Link By Skus
When you select this tab it will list item results where there is an item on Bigcommerce that has the same SKU value as an item in AmberPOS but they are not currently linked.
In either of these tabs when you find an item that needs to be linked between AmberPOS and Bigcommerce you will highlight the AmberPOS SKU field value to designate which you want to associate. Once highlighted you can click on the button at the bottom of the screen.
You can link multiple items if you select more than one of these cells at a time. You can hold-down the shift key while having an item highlighted and click at a position lower on the page to group-select multiple items. To spot-select items, hold the Ctrl key while clicking on each of the SKU cell values.
When items have been successfully linked together you will see them generated under the tab where they will have a color indication to their linking status of matching field values.

If you receive an error while trying to link an item then try updating the LC database, refresh the screen and try again.
