With the release of AmberPOS version 04.17.05.01 the considerations for synchronizing quantities are managed within three different settings.
1. Websync Configuration QOH
In AmberPOS navigate to and then and click on the button. Select the option for to access the mass upload form for Bigcommerce Integration.
When the mass upload form opens select the tab at the top of the screen and then select the sub-tab . When you navigate here you will see fields available to adjust for QOH synchronization. These settings establish whether any inventory items can synchronize QOH.
For more information about web sync configurations see the article HERE. If the values shown above are assigned to then any updates for inventory for any and all items quantities will not reflect to Bigcommerce. This setting establishes a global consideration for capabilities of item quantity updates to reflect onto Bigcommerce. See Synchronize Inventory below for information about adjusting item quantity updates on an individual basis.
2. Synchronize Inventory
On a per-item basis you can adjust a switch which enables whether the product can have QOH updates reflect onto Bigcommerce.
A. Through the individual web info form. Navigate to then and select an item. Click on the button.
For the selected item it will open a window which displays information about it's relationship to the linked version of the product on Bigcommerce. The field indicates whether the product will forward product updates onto Bigcommerce.
B. Through the mass upload form. Navigate to then and click on the button. From the options presented click on the option.
When the mass upload form appears it will initially have the tab selected. This selection will display items linked between AmberPOS and Bigcommerce. In this location you will see the header where you can update multiple products at a time to be enabled for this setting. Group select one or multiple items cells for this value and click on the or buttons to adjust this property for the selected items.
3. Track Inventory
While item quantity from AmberPOS can synchronize with Bigcommerce, separately Bigcommerce can choose whether it even tracks inventory or not for a product. Bigcommerce can have three values indicated for it's tracking of inventory.
do not track - This value indicates that the product on Bigcommerce does have any QOH, and as a result no restrictions on how many can be sold online. If the Sync Inv. switch is enabled for a product in AmberPOS, it will be redundant if this is enabled as it will not reflect any QOH.
by product - This value indicates that the product on Bigcommerce does have QOH available online, though not distinguished by any options assigned to the product.
by options - This value indicates that the product on Bigcommerce does have QOH available online, and it does distinguish the quantity it tracks by options assigned to the product.
There are two ways you can adjust the tracking of inventory for an item on Bigcommerce, through AmberPOS.
Navigate to then and select an item. Click on the button.
For the selected item it will open a window which displays information about it's relationship to the linked version of the product on Bigcommerce. In this window you will see where you can modify the choices for how to track the inventory for the item on Bigcommerce.
